The Importance of Using LYCON Pre & Post Waxing Lotions

Using the recommended and correct LYCON Pre and Post Waxing Lotions are highly recommended as it makes waxing hygienic and noticeably more comfortable for your customer.
 

Comfortable means that the products will help prevent pull or skin drag, so there is no bruising or missing skin. This is why the pre and post waxing lotions have earned its reputation making it extra special in lots of ways.

When used as a system, the service is done with professionalism and makes life a lot easier for your staff as well.
 

 

Lycotane Skin Cleanser contains hospital grade disinfectant which helps clean and refreshes the skin of perspiration, dirt, skin creams and bacteria. Something that is highly required during these unprecedented times. Similarly, when waxing is finished on any part of the face and body, cleanse the area with Lycotane, which will also close the follicles, so that harmful bacteria will not be able to enter the empty follicles.

I am sure many have experienced when at time, follicles can bleed during waxing. This is normal. Before further wax application, it is important to clean the blood off with Lycotane on a cotton pad.  Lycotane will help disinfect the area, close the hair follicle and help to stop the bleeding.

When I first started in the industry, with many waxing products available, I asked myself why I should even consider Lycon? 

After trying it out, one would distinctly know why this amazing product makes the customer feel a lot more comfortable during waxing. 

Very little is used but what this very light film does is it acts to protect the skin so that the wax does not stick onto it. Hence, Lycon waxes may be continuously reapplied many times. 

Recommended to be applied before and during all hot waxing, including Lycojet, LYCOtec and LYCOdream waxing.

A personal tip - pre-waxing oil may be used on very dry skin prior to a strip wax service as this will prevent the wax from pulling out the dead skin, causing irritation. 

For Post Waxing products, there are four to select from; two are specifically for post strip wax service. 

 

Tea-Tree Soothe is a very light cream that is applied to the skin after hot waxing to soothe and further protect the skin from harmful bacteria entering the empty follicles. Tea-Tree Soothe can also be used after strip waxing. Yup, it’s a 2-in-1! 

 

This is slightly different as it is more a moisturising body cream for after waxing. It’s amazing for dry skin. Soothing Cream also has anti-ageing properties which is excellent to recommend to clients to use on a daily basis at home, to deeply hydrate, soothe and minimise the look and feel of dry and ageing skin.

 

A light oil that soothes and moisturises the skin after every strip waxing service. Tea-Tree Oil protects the skin from harmful bacteria entering the empty follicles after waxing. The uniqueness of Tea-Tree Perfect is that should there be some strip wax left behind, it will remove that sticky strip wax residue in a jiffy. 

 

Perfect Finish: 

Another oil that soothes and moisturises the skin after strip waxing. It contains Lavender, which has anti-bacterial properties and is suitable for clients who may be allergic to Tea-Tree Oil. Lavender also acts as a protection to the skin from harmful bacteria entering the empty follicles after waxing.  Perfect Finish does the job as well to remove all sticky strip wax residue if there is any left behind.
